Alistair McGowan Top of the Bill for Comedy Wood
Headline act comedian and actor Alistair McGowan planted the first tree in Comedy Wood, a new woodland in The National Forest, outside Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire, this week.

Melbourne Announces Second Display for Forest of Drawings Winners
Entries for the "Forest of Drawings" competition will make their debut public display at the National Forest Wood Fair over the August Bank Holiday, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 August, but now organisers of one of Derbyshire's major arts festivals have just announced a second showing at the Melbourne Festival.

New Natural Play Area to Open at Hicks Lodge Cycle Centre
Children and families are set to get even more fun from a visit to Hicks Lodge National Forest Cycle Centre, as a stunning natural play area is under construction at the popular centre situated between Ashby de la Zouch and Moira, in Leicestershire.
