Seale Wood is being managed as a demonstration site for coppicing, the practice of felling trees at their base for new shoots to grow, having a range of uses from furniture-making to hedge-laying. This community woodland, planted in 2002, features sweet chestnut, oak, ash and hazel and is perfect for a walk or picnic.
