Summary

The 26-hectare Bagworth Wood, on the edge of Bagworth village, predominantly features mainly commercial poplars, with woody shrubs which add diversity and wildlife habitats. Groups of native black poplar have been planted in the wetter areas by the pond. The wood is a great spot for getting outdoors, with a horse-riding route around part of the site and inter-linking footpaths. Bagworth Wood is next to the National Forest ‘Coal Tips to Country Parks’ medium-distance walk.
