One-off Donations: Terms and Conditions

One-off Donation – Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) govern the relationship between you (the donor) and us (the National Forest Company, company number 02991970, registered charity number 1166563 “National Forest”, “us”) in relation to any donation payment you make to us through our website https://www.nationalforest.org/.

By confirming on the website that you wish to make a donation you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions for that donation.

1. Our Agreement with You

Making a donation on these terms and conditions does not constitute the creation of a contract. We have complete discretion over whether to accept a donation and reserve the right to decline for any reason whatsoever and provide a full refund. The agreement between you and us will be entered into once we have accepted your offer and processed your donation.

2. The Donation

We will use these donations at our discretion and any donations will be treated as unrestricted funding but always within our stated charitable objectives of woodland creation and management of a sustainable and connected forest, and in accordance with our Fundraising Promise. For this reason, we are unable to ring-fence donations to specific funds or projects.

All donations through our website are to be made via our payment services provider, Paypal or WorldPay. By confirming that you wish to proceed with your donation you authorise Paypal or WorldPay (or such other payment services provider as we may use from time to time) to request funds from your credit or debit card provider (as applicable).

3. Gift Aid

When you donate to us through our website and confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme as they apply from time to time, we can reclaim Gift Aid.

It is your responsibility to determine whether you qualify for Gift Aid and we are not able to provide any form of legal, financial or taxation advice in this regard.

Further information on Gift Aid can be found at https://www.gov.uk/claim-gift-aid.

4. Acknowledgement

We will send you prompt acknowledgement by email confirming receipt of your donation. If you do not receive such an email from us please do let us know as soon as possible.

5. Ongoing Donations

These terms and conditions only relate to one-off donations made through our website. If you wish to make regular donations to the National Forest, please visit here for information.

6. Refunds

As a registered Charity, we are subject to regulation by the Charities Commission for England and Wales under The Charities Act 2011. As a rule, Charities are not permitted to refund any donations.
