Tragically, Claire lost her life at the age of 13 in a mini-bus crash on the M40 while returning from a school trip, leaving a profound void in her family's lives. In her memory, her parents Liz and Steve decided to honour her values by dedicating a grove in the National Forest.
Claire's grove not only serves as a living tribute to her but also brings comfort and joy to her family, who find solace in its creation, with plans for the younger ones in the family to enjoy the area as they grow up. Claire’s grove has become a tangible and enduring part of their lives, reflecting her passion for the environment and inspiring others to contribute to the Forest's growth.
If you have been inspired by the Fitzgerald's story and would like to support the planting of a complete woodland grove then do get in touch with us to find out more information. Alternatively, you can support our work by making a donation or by dedicating a tree.
